Our Five Step Process

Getting ready for Your Initial Call

Let’s hit the ground running on our initial phone consultation. Here are a few ways to prepare for your home improvement in Bolingbrook:

Gather Inspiration

Browse Google, Pinterest, Houzz, Instagram, or TikTok. Save photos or links of spaces you love. Knowing your style—and what you don’t like—helps us steer the design early on.

Set a Starting Budget

Use reputable tools like the Cost vs. Value Report to get a rough idea of remodeling costs. It doesn’t have to be exact—just give us a range you’re comfortable with, and we can guide you from there.

Vet Your Contractors

Choosing the right team is everything. Read reviews on Google and BBB, check credentials, and don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions. We encourage it—and we’ll do the same to make sure we’re the right fit for your project.

Our Five step Process

Step

1

Initial Consultation Call

Every great home transformation begins with a conversation. In this initial call, we’ll explore your goals, priorities, and the investment you’re considering. Whether your vision is crystal clear or still taking shape, we’re here to listen, answer your questions, and offer expert guidance. This first step also ensures we’re the right fit for each other —because trust and communication are the foundation of every successful project.

Step

2

In-Home Visit And Discovery

Let’s take a closer look at your space and explore its potential. We’ll meet at your home—with all decision makers present. We’ll spend about an hour walking through your goals, ideas, and figure a base budget for your project. This meeting also gives us both the opportunity to get better acquainted and see if we are the right fit for one another.

Note: Unless major upgrades are added later, our base budget typically comes within 15% of the final contract amount.

3

Selections and Design

Once we enter into the Design Agreement, we begin by carefully measuring, photographing, and documenting your current space. From there, we create layout options and map out all the essentials—plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, and appliances. You’ll also receive a personalized, easy-to-navigate selections list tailored to your liking.

This is where your vision truly starts to take shape. Guided by our Design Coordinator, you’ll explore finishes, fall in love with your favorites, and finalize your selections. We then bring it all together in scaled drawings, 3D renderings, and your confirmed selections list—allowing you to experience your design before construction ever begins.

If needed, a second visit may be scheduled to fine-tune details as the design and selections are finalized.

4

Construction Begins

With the design finalized and selections approved, we’ll present your construction
contract for review and approval. This includes every detail—scope of work, payment milestones, and a clear project timeline. Behind the scenes, we handle permits, place orders, and coordinate scheduling for all trades.

For larger projects—or simply for added peace of mind—we may hold a pre-construction meeting in your home. During this visit, we’ll review logistics, timelines, setup procedures, and any specific needs you may have. Our goal is to help you live as comfortably as possible throughout the construction process. Once everything is in place, it’s go-time. We cover floors, protect your home, and begin transforming your space with care and precision.
